Jada Flowers

Baking has always been a family affair for me, inspired by the love and support of my mom, Julie Flowers, and my grandmother, Judith Flowers. My journey began with family recipes like sweet potato pie and dump cake, and over time, I expanded to custom cakes and visually stunning treats. Growing up, my mom and I would bake together during the holidays, sharing pies with neighbors, friends, and family. Her encouragement and dedication to my craft were unmatched—she solicited orders, printed labels, delivered ingredients, and even dropped off treats to elderly customers.
My mom’s influence runs deep, even in my approach to baking. She inspired me to create mini desserts for those managing health challenges, ensuring everyone could enjoy a sweet moment without overindulging. After taking my first decorating class at Crummy’s Baking Supply Shop on 7 Mile and Livernois, I made my first stacked cakes. That same summer, I lost my mom. Baking has since become a way to honor her legacy, remembering the lessons she instilled in me both in the kitchen and in life.
My Aunt Kim also played a pivotal role, inspiring me with her holiday cakes and gifting me her treasured 7UP Pound Cake recipe. To this day, we share tips, tricks, and taste tests, continuing the family tradition.
In college, I earned a Bachelor and Master of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations, which enhanced my creativity and helped me build the JFlow Bakehouse brand. In Fall 2023, I took a Business Development class with ProsperUs Detroit, which further strengthened my skills in growing a family-centered business.
The name JFlow Bakehouse is a tribute to my family of bakers who have influenced every dessert on my menu. Every treat I create carries the love, lessons, and legacy of my family—and I can’t wait to share that with you.
